Adora Events was born in Harare — Room 105, 1st Floor Sahil Building, Robert Mugabe Rd / Angwa Street — with a simple, stubborn idea: food should be intentional, tables should breathe, and light should be kind to skin.
For nine years we have catered weddings in Borrowdale gardens, lobola ceremonies in Highlands homesteads, corporate galas at Meikles, and quiet 24-guest private dinners where a single table holds ten courses. The brief changes. Our method does not.
We believe a great celebration doesn't shout — it stays, like perfume on linen. Every event is edited like a film still — light, texture, taste and ritual composed to linger long after the last plate is cleared.
Hospitality trained, grandmother-taught. Ethel blends farm-sourced Zimbabwean ingredients with quiet European technique — wood-fire, garden herbs, acidity in balance, portions that respect appetite. She designs tables first, menus second.
No clutter, no shouting decor. Linen that moves with wind, low floral, negative space. We remove until only what matters remains. Quiet tables invite louder conversation.
→ 180 guests still feels intimate when sightlines are clear.
Lobola and roora are not themes — they are foundation. We listen to elders before we plate. Clay pots, hand-woven runners, sadza reimagined with respect, timing that honors family protocol.
→ Modern restraint second. Lineage always first.
We time service to golden hour, then candle hour. Menus shift with light. Warm linen, brass, amber glass. Food is served warm, staff are quiet and precise, guests are never rushed.
→ Every plate edited for texture, smoke, and acidity.
Hospitality is a promise. Our contract is transparent, fair, governed by Zimbabwe law. Deposits, tastings, guest-count adjustments, weather, staffing — all written plainly. No surprises.
→ Farm-sourced menus, dietary precision, wood-fire reliability.
Most caterers deliver food. We deliver a feeling — the hush when a table is perfectly set, the way smoke lifts from wood-fired mains at 17:42, the way a bride's mother nods because the sadza tastes like home.
